Fall's Beauty

As I lay awake in bed this am, the sky was overcast. There were 2 birds in the tree I could see through the skylight. They seemed to be interacting, as one would jump to another branch, although only a twig, it would sway in the wind. Then another bird arrived, and yet another. Soon they flew away as the raindrops started pelting the window, louder and louder. It looked to be a rainy day ahead. Surrounded by windows, I saw some break in the clouds and the sun trying to forge thru. Before I rose, there was rays of warmth on the sheets and I felt my mind open to what the outside could bring me today.
